Station prices need a connection to the government Fuel Finder service. No live prices are shown here. Distances are straight-line, not driving distances; station coverage may be incomplete.
How fuel costs are calculated
For UK MPG: journey miles ÷ MPG × 4.54609 litres per imperial gallon × fuel price in pounds per litre.
For example, 100 miles at 45 UK MPG uses about 10.10 litres. At 145p per litre, the fuel costs £14.65. A return journey over the same distance costs £29.30.
Use your real-world fuel economy for a better estimate. Traffic, hills, speed, towing and vehicle load can change consumption. You can enter an extra fuel allowance under More journey options.
Choosing a fuel price
The automatic price is a weekly UK average for standard unleaded petrol or diesel, not a live forecourt quote. For premium fuel, LPG or a specific station, enter the appropriate pump price and economy manually. The nearby-station lookup currently shows locations only.
Would a different price save you money?
Enter another pump price to compare.
For a detour, subtract its extra fuel cost from the saving. A cheaper pump may not mean a cheaper trip.
